I am sure you can tell that I love vintage clothing - if you wait long enough almost anything is bound to come back into style. Here are some great vintage inspired clothing that has been done lately by designers. But why pay the designer price tag when you can just get the real deal! Visit my etsy shop for some wearable vintage clothing (http://fashiondiscipleretro.etsy.com) - I will be adding new fabulous items throughout the week!

Matthew Williamson at Urbis Gallery in Manchester
I took these photos a couple of years ago of a Matthew Williamson exhibit at the Urbis Gallery in Manchester, but I thought they are still worth sharing. I especially love the pieces that have patterns and texture created through beadwork, fabric, and anything else that creates an interesting design. Enjoy!

Latex Legging DIY
I know it has been a while since latex leggings have been seen, but I think they are still trendy and I have found a great tutorial to make them yourself at the blog Making Latex Clothing.
And if you don't know how to make a pattern for your leggings, you can go to the website Pattern School, where you can find a step by step guide to drafting your legging pattern.

Trend Report - Lace
Lace has been seen all over the runway over the past few seasons and it has been styled in fresh new ways. It has emerged coinciding with the underwear as outerwear trend (I will talk about this later). One of my favorite ways to wear lace this season is through a jacket (collection sneak peak - I will be creating a lace blazer, among other pieces in my upcoming collection).
An interesting way to use lace is by getting a "lace manicure"; a great how to for how to do it comes from the blog Behind the Seams. I am definitely going to give it a try!

Welcome!
Welcome to the Fashion Disciple Blog. I hope to update this as often as possible with news and updates about my company, Fashion Disciple, as well as anything else that is fashion related that I think you will find interesting! Keep and eye out for how-to's and trend guides that I will be posting.
I currently have my vintage shop open on etsy (http://fashiondiscipleretro.etsy.com) and am working on my collection which I will be listing on etsy as well shortly (http://fashiondisciple.etsy.com).
I love anything to do with fashion and am a complete shopaholic, which is one of the reasons I set up the vintage store (it allows me to satisfy my shopping addiction). I will post anything from the progress of my upcoming collection to trend reports, and even a how-to once in a while.
I hope you find my blog interesting and visit again often!
