Feather DIY

We have all seen the feather fascinators/headbands that have been going around, but here are some great DIYs for feather statement pieces.

To make this great feather skirt, go here.

The necklace on the left can be found on the blog Used and Abused Vintage, and was made by sewing a feather fringe to a chain necklace (more about it can be found here). The necklace on the right can be made the same way, with gems added.

This great feather capelet was made by the blogger from Chic Steals, but can be found
here.

Trend Report - Clear Raincoats

Even though it hasn't been a typical rainy summer in Manchester, I am still loving these see through rain coats. It's probably because I am not originally from the UK, and the rain doesn't bother me that much (its much easier than snow!). Here are some great rain coats that are trendy at the moment and will keep you dry when it does finally rain!

Here are some great designer versions.

There are even fab vintage versions out there too!

Some cute patterned ones (and yes the second one is not see through, but just as nice).

There are some gorgeous trompe l'oeil versions.

DIY - Teddy/Romper

Here is another great DIY from Behind the Seams (originally taken from Nylon Magazine) to turn a slip into a romper.

Full tutorial available here.

I think it would be great to make one out of a vintage lacy slip and create a great underwear as outerwear piece like there:
